The West Indies have announced their roster for the crucial Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe in a month.
The recall of bowling all-rounder Keemo Paul, who last played for the team in an ODI in July of last year, was the main topic of conversation for the group that was named. Gudakesh Motie, who performed outstandingly during the West Indies Test visit through Zimbabwe recently, has likewise been remembered for the squad. We think he will relish the opportunity to bowl again in those conditions. In addition, he can bat and plays well in the outfield.

After finishing ninth in the Cricket World Cup Super League, West Indies were sent to the Qualifier. They were 10 points behind South Africa, who won the final automatic spot this week while other results went their way.

Desmond Haynes, the primary selector for the West Indies, claims that Keemo Paul’s versatility could make him an essential part of the team’s attempt to qualify.

Lead selector Desmond Haynes stated, “Paul is a three-dimensional player who can bowl the new ball effectively, is dynamic in the outfield, and he can also make vital runs.” We see him as a match-winner for us because he has fully recovered from his injury and has the skills we need to win.

“We consider him to be a potential match-victor for us.”

Cricket West Indies will give IPL players a chance to recover before the Qualifier, and the tournament’s players who are not currently in India will prepare for the Qualifier by playing three one-day internationals in Sharjah against the UAE.
